Past and Present is a feature compiled/presented by Nigel Thornton (DoverT) and published by myself, Ray Goodfellow as an item intended to illustrate the various vessels, past, present and future, which have a connection (however obscure) with the port of Dover.
Principally ferry based (as there have been one or two over the years) but now expanding to incorporate cruise vessels and the many other vessels which make up Dover's varied maritime scene.
All features are the combined efforts of many contributors and its aims are to provide useful clear information to site visitors. We aim to show the history of a vessel in words and pictures from it's launch to its current operational status (which unfortunately in some cases this means being scrapped on a beach on the other side of the World).
Information or photographs are always welcomed for inclusion in the Past and Present articles, together with any requests for future additions.
